About us
When I picked Jip up from the kennels last time I took a holiday, I swore I would never leave him again. He was shivering, thin, muddy and smelly (more so than normal anyway!). His bark was hoarse and his tail didn’t wag – but worse of all was the reproach in his eyes.
However, it is unrealistic to believe we will never be parted from our pets due to business trips, holidays, hospital stays etc. and all we can do is provide then with the safest, stress free environment….and that is undoubtedly their own home.
About the service I provide
Just before your absence, I will make an initial visit to your home to help you fill in a questionnaire which will help me understand your pet’s routine, any individual peculiarities and discuss your expectations. Perhaps you could even show me your pet’s favourite walk in order for me to learn more about your pet and generally get acquainted and demonstrate how they like feeding at meal times.
On the days I care for your pet, I will visit in between 7.30am and 9.30am in the morning for a short walk or exercise in the garden, between 2.00pm and 4.00pm in the afternoon in order to spend a little longer with your pet to play with their favourite toy, or even just to enjoy a cuddle and again between 8.00pm and 10.00pm in the evening for a last toilet and a tummy tickle.
What do I charge?
My charges for this service are £25 per day. I will be caring for each pet personally and will not be visiting more than 3 homes in any one day in order to give your pet individual pampering and attention.
What I will need from you
I will need a non returnable deposit of £5 for each day booked, in advance. I will also need a door key which will be posted or returned to a friend or neighbour on the last visit to your pet. You will also need to leave enough food for the duration of your absence.
I will need contact details of your pet’s veterinary practice and contact details for a friend or family member who I can consult if I have any major concerns.
You are free to contact me whenever you wish in order to reassure yourself that your pet is safe and well.
