Councils
The area and people of Sitlington are represented at both parish and district levels locally, and at constituency level by an MP.
The first level of local government, Sitlington Parish Council is often the intial point of contact for many community issues. A number of voluntary, elected parish councillors serve in the interests of Middlestown, Midgley, Netherton and Overton residents.
Sitlington is also part of Wakefield Rural ward at the District Council level of Wakefield Metropolitan District Council. Three elected councillors represent our area.
