Changing Health Event
Wakefield Town Hall
Changing Health Event
Tuesday 10th July, 9.30 am – 12.30 pm, at Wakefield Town Hall
The NHS is facing its greatest period of change and our local NHS needs to change also, to ensure we can continue to provide the best care for patients, meet the demand for services, and continue to improve health across the Wakefield District. Issues facing the NHS are:
Changes to the system as GPs take over responsibility for buying and planning local services for their patients.
Changes to the treatment and care we can provide, thanks to huge advances in medical knowledge and technology.
Changes to our health - we are living longer, more people are recovering from serious illness, and we have different conditions and health needs to manage.
Wakefield Together would like to invite you to this event to take part in discussions around helping Wakefield respond to these changes and the needs of our citizens.
